Careers and learning

Learn by working on real foundry problems

Rhino offers internship, research and apprenticeship projects, and runs vocational training through the Skills Development Institutes.

Opportunities

Where you can learn with us

Internships and apprenticeships

Project-based placements in design, automation, production, projects and service.

Research projects

Work with Rhino’s R&D team and academic collaborators on sand, energy and waste-recovery questions.

Skills Development Institutes

Swiss-model vocational training with SkillSonics, through the Anwesha Foundation.

How it works

A two-stage pathway

Stage 1

Industry acclimatisation, 15 to 30 days

A short period to observe processes, document steps, assist with small measurements and meet supervisors and engineers. The emphasis is on learning, not output, and it lets both sides get to know each other.

Stage 2

Structured internship or apprenticeship

If there is a fit, a formal assignment of about twelve months with a stipend: mini improvement projects, documentation and drawings, process monitoring, data analysis and small frugal innovations. The student moves from observer to contributor.

Green internship and apprenticeship

Open for applications

Green Jobs: commercial production and operations, Silica Plastic Block

Rhino Machines and Meemansa invite applications for internship and apprenticeship positions in the SPB initiative, a continuous circular manufacturing process that turns waste plastic and waste foundry sand into construction materials.

Participants work across the commercial production cycle: material and supply management, production planning and monitoring, quality assurance, costing and accounting, reporting, order coordination and the digital marketplace.

Who can apply

  • Commerce, BBA and MBA
  • Diploma or degree engineering
  • ITI and vocational trades
  • Sustainability and circular economy programmes

How it runs

  • One week of structured training and mutual evaluation
  • Formal onboarding as apprentice after the training week
  • Mentoring by practitioners

A stipend is paid after onboarding, in line with apprenticeship norms.

Intern projects

Real problems, real data

Rhino works with COEDM at Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) on student projects, in modules that can run over several batches.

  • Data interpretation and anomaly detection
  • Troubleshooting logic and conversational assistance
  • Manual digitisation and spare parts mapping
  • Maintenance history analytics
  • System integration and interface design

Digitised data capture and control for sand and moulding lines. Students map machine data sources, build a data capture and dashboard prototype, digitise manual logs on a common event timeline, and learn industrial protocols and dashboards. A follow-on project builds an intelligent maintenance layer that links machine alarms to manuals, guided troubleshooting and spare part identification.

Other openings, and intern project outcome snapshots, will be listed here. To apply for an internship, use the application form. For anything else, write to rhino@rhinomachines.net.

Incubation

From intern to incubation: Rebloc Innovations

Rhino is incubating Rebloc Innovations Pvt Ltd, a company that grew out of Rhino’s student projects in digital integration. BVM Engineering College is its academic partner.

  • Rebloc PlantIQ: connects existing machines, monitors production and energy use, and turns plant data into dashboards.
  • Smart Plastic Shredder: collects plastic at source, weighs and shreds it, and logs each gram to an IoT platform.

Rebloc shows PlantIQ energy history for the SPB 250 plant at Rhino, so the route from internship project to product runs through Rhino’s own plants.
